Lava has been teasing the Iris Pro series since mid-2013. And looks like
after almost a 8-month long wait, Lava is finally ready to launch the
Iris Pro series smartphones in India.
Lava iris advertisements have been doing rounds of YouTube and televisions since long but there were hardly any details revealed except for the fact that Lava would perhaps aim at phones with premium software. Just before the launch this Friday on 17th January, Lava has teased us with some details of the device.
Lava Iris pro will not be one smartphone but a complete smartphone series. The phone series will be a premium offering with high-end features and specifications. The best phone is the series will clearly be the new Lava flagship and will take on the likes of Micromax and gionee in India.
Lava's tagline of 'Art meets Smart' for the Iris Pro series hints at phones which focus equally on asthetics and design as they do on specifications. While we love all our budget phones with high-end specs, the phones often fall back on design and indeed, resemble coloured bricks making it difficult to tell them apart.
Lava Iris pro flagship model or the first phone in the series will weigh just 114 grams and feature Corning Gorilla Glass. The highlight of the phone is the display which will be a Sharp display (the Japanese company) panel. The phone will sport features like a fully laminated touch panel and software features like Content Adaptive backlight control.
Lava's alternate brand Xolo has been making waves with their premium phones at a budget price and looks like Lava will now be entering the fray too. We just hope the phone features make up for the exceedingly long wait we had to endure for the Iris Pro.
