Notion Ink Adam II tab has a secondary display for notifications, starts at Rs 16,499

The Notion Ink Adam II tablet has already been put up for sale in India for a starting price of Rs 16,499. Interested users can visit the official website to order the device that comes in two variants, Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + 3G models. The last mentioned variant costs Rs 18,999.

This Notion Ink slate’s front side is graced by a 10.1-inch IPS LCD touchscreen that has a resolution of 1280 x 800p resolution. Another STN display of 100 x 5p resolution sits on the spine of the tablet and projects notifications as well as contextual data. A 3.15MP snapper has been fitted on the front and a similar camera has been placed on the rear side as well. The device is said to be capable of recording 720p videos.

Notion Ink Adam II The huge device does not support voice calling, not even its 3G version. But then again, it will be awkward to receive calls on a 10.1-inch gadget. Its internal working is carried out under the supervision of a 1.5GHz dual core Cortex A9 processor which is accompanied by a quad core Mali 400 GPU. 1GB of DDR3 RAM has also been tossed in for maintaining smooth multitasking at all times, while the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS is responsible for an intuitive interface.

As far as the internal memory is concerned, you get 8GB of it, all of which may not be available to users and hence an expansion slot has been carved into the chassis for extending support to a microSD card of not more than 32GB capacity. It draws power from a 6000mAh lithium-polymer battery.
