Lava's new 3G 402+ smartphone

LAVA International Limited launched its Lava 3G 402+ android smart phone on Friday. This is an upgrade of the 3G 402, and part of the 3G series that is aimed at consumers who frequently access the Internet and use social media.

The 3G 402+ is powered by a 1.2GHz dual core processor, along with 512MB of RAM (for enhanced gaming). It runs on the Android v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system, and comes with a 4 inch WVGA screen, a 3 megapixel camera along with a VGA front camera for video calling, and GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options.

It also has applications such as Shake to Connect (which enables users to accept and disconnect incoming calls by shaking the handset instead of tapping it), and Keyboard Magnifier for easy text editing.

With a strong market intelligence, we have now launched 3G 402+ for an enhanced overall user experience,” said Hari Om Rai, Chairman & Managing Director, Lava International Ltd., at the phone’s launch.

The 3G 402+ is priced at Rs6,499 and is available in three colours: Metallic Grey, Metallic Brown, and Ivory White.
